Our New Dishwasher

Maizi's new favorite thing to do is to wash the dishes for me. The other day I heard some water running while I was in the other room....I came out to find Maizi loading the dishwasher & washing the other dishes. My first reaction was to be a little annoyed knowing what a mess I would have afterwards, not to mention she used almost an entire bottle of soap. But, she was just so proud of herself for being such a good helper - I'm trying very hard to let the kids "help" me even if I have to do it all over again. This is NOT easy for me. :)
**And I swear her hair isn't always in her face.

Maizi's New Glasses

FINALLY!!!
This girly got some new glasses. That only took like 2 years! Poor girl has need new glasses forever - if any of you saw her old ones you know what I'm talking about. I don't know how she even saw out of them. Aren't these new ones SO cute?! They make her look so old. We went to a new doctor that was great & gave us a lot of information on Maizi's eye. He recommended us to another doctor who specializes in Vision Therapy. She had her first session last month & did very well. She'll go once a month for awhile & then once a week. The purpose is to teach her brain to use her eye again....long explanation. Basically her brain has learned to really not even use her right eye so we're trying to fix that.

Spring Training

We'd been talking about taking the kids to a spring training, but leave it to us to procrastinate til the last day. :) We lucked out & got some lawn tickets at the new ball field - I have actually never been to a spring training game either so it was a first for all of us except Sione. It was a lot of fun - don't know if I really enjoyed the spot we got, but I guess that's what happens when you wait around & you're late to the game. Anyway, the kids seemed to have fun, despite the very warm weather on this day. Next year we'll plan ahead. :)

Another year older

Well, another year has passed & I am another year wiser. :) Not really, but I like to think so. The weekend before Sione had an event in Prescott so I used that as an excuse to have a little getaway for my birthday. When we got back we had a nice birthday celebration at my parents for me, my dad, and my nephew Josh. I am so bummed I didn't take hardly any pictures, but naturally Maizi was more than willing to take hers. :)
We took like 3 pictures of this pose & in every one of them someone's eyes were closed so I chose the one where mine were open. ;)

Sione's Half Marathon

I feel so bad I haven't done a very good job of keeping up with Sione on here. In January Sione completed another 1/2 marathon. I was tracking him the whole time on my phone & tried so hard to get a picture of him crossing the finish line, but there were so many people I didn't get it. :( This is after the race with our friends Darrell & Ashley. Sione finished with a time of 2:17:00 beating his last time. Way to go Sione!!!
