Prescott

Time for another attempt to update our blog....if I learned to do this more often I'd be better at remember the details. :/ Anyway, back in August Sione had an event in Prescott so we got to go with him & to make it even better we got to meet up with my family! Zachary, Teresa & my mom met us there - so did Sage & Dana. I was pretty homesick at this time so this was a much needed visit with some of my family. :) I am so mad now that I'm looking back at my pictures...WHY didn't I take more pictures??? While Sione was busy one of the days we drove to Jerome to check it out. It's a pretty cool little town with some neat stores, but I am warning you the drive up is TERRIBLE. It's this teeny, tiny, narrow, windy road up a mountain & we almost got hit head-on so, be careful. On our way back we saw all these antelope so we stopped to watch them for a bit. We had a lot of fun & the kids were so excited to see everyone again - probably too excited since we got a call from the front desk of our hotel asking us to please keep our kids quiet. SORRY!! :)

On our way home to St. George we stopped in this little town called Seligman. It was a fun, cute little place that has lots of old history as part of Route 66. There was this really cool little restaurant - they had a lot of old stuff to look at & old cars. It reminded me of stuff my dad would love.

St. George Temple

My mom came to visit us when we first got here. Cory & Jeri were going to a wedding in Salt Lake so they dropped her off on the way & picked up a couple days later on their way home. We LOVED having her here & unfortunately we didn't get any pictures of her for proof....I wonder why??? ;) One of our little stops while she was here was the temple. Isn't it pretty?! My pictures obviously don't do it justice. You can see it in the distance when you first drive in & it's really cool to see at night.

The Little Mermaid

The first weekend we were here in St. George we were able to take the kids to go see The Little Mermaid. They have this really cool outdoor stage/amphitheater called Tuacahn. It's so pretty & the backdrop is red mountains. Many of you may know Maizi is pretty much obsessed with Ariel so she was in heaven. It was a really cool production with the water & everything. Maizi was singing along to every song & when they sang a couple that weren't from the movie she very loudly said "Hey, this isn't the way it goes!" :) It was a little warm on this night, but the kids had a really good time & we did too. After the show we got to meet the actors - we've seen "Ariel" around a couple other places & she's been so nice to let the kids just sit & talk with her...Soakai mostly just stares at her. :)

Sleepy Head

Poor guy! Triumph was giving Soakai a trim before we left & I guess it had just been too much for him to handle. He was literally asleep sitting in the chair getting his hair cut. Good thing he wasn't injured with his head falling all over. :) Funny kid!

She's FIVE....again!

We had another celebration for Maizi's birthday with all the Fig's. It was kind of like a going away since we left the next morning. :( Maizi, of course, loved the attention and all her cool gifts. She's still talking about her birthday parties.

She's FIVE!!!

Our little Maizi is now 5! Seriously, where did the time go?? We celebrated Maizi's birthday before we made our big move since we wouldn't be home with our families for her actual birthday. She was so excited to be 5....she's been waiting I think since her 4th birthday. :) She definitely got spoiled too. We had 2 parties so she felt even more special. Here are some pictures from the Fa's. Isn't that cake so cute - Veronica (Sione's mom) made that & Maizi was in love with it. She is still all about the princesses. We all had so much fun!!

Randomness

Hello out there!!! We are back! I have finally gotten our internet figured out so I can get caught up on this dang blog. :) I didn't even know if I should go back & post these or just start fresh...I thought they were cute pictures though so, sorry for the trip back in time. :)

This was 4th of July - I don't know why I didn't take more. We had tons of fun over & my parent's house. We had a wonderful, yummy BBQ thanks to Dana & the kids had a blast with the fireworks.

I just came across these pictures from the Golf Tournament we had for my dad. Again, why do I only have these 2 pictures from that whole day....I don't know! Nice looking guys! :)

Father's & Son's Outing

Sione & Soakai went on their first Father's/Son's outing last month & had lots of fun.
Soakai was so excited to go camping - I think mostly to try out his new sleeping bag. They went with our ward up to Mt. Lemmon & I'm told they had a great time even though it was pretty cold and no fires were allowed & that Soakai behaved very well. :) I guess Sione didn't take very many pictures so luckily we have this cute one.

Preschool Graduate!!!

Just looking at these pictures again is making me sad....our little Maizi is all done with preschool & is off to Kindergarten next month. :( Maizi has been going to Miss Stephanie's Busy Bee Academy since she was 2. She has loved every minute of it & I could not have asked for a better experience with preschool. I'm so sad that Soakai won't be going - it was seriously one of the first things that I thought of when we found out that we were for sure moving (since I already had him signed up). Maybe I'll just send him down to go to like boarding school. :)

Anyway, Maizi had her graduation in May with all her little friends. It was the cutest thing.

Maizi was in charge of leading the Pledge of Allegiance - which she is very good at & has to say it anytime she sees a flag.

I had to post this - this is her first year. Can you believe how small she was?!
