Temple Lights

This is probably one of my favorite things to do at Christmastime --- Temple Lights. They were so pretty, like every year. When we over to see the nativity scene the kids ran across the lawn & tried to get on the donkey with Mary. Of course those would be our kids!! :)

Christmas Cont.

More Christmas pictures! This year I decided to put together a little gift exchange for the younger grandkids. I thought it was so much fun for them.

If you notice Maizi's hair in this picture - courtesy of Triumph. She LOVED it! She was so proud of the way it looked.

Maizi & Kenzlie...poor girl. I don't think that Maizi left her side the whole time she was there. :)

Christmas 2010

Since we're nearing Valentine's Day I decided that I absolutely had to get my Christmas blogging done....I think this should've been my New Year's resolution. :)

Christmas this year was so nice for us. We spent the morning with the Fa's (and as usual we came home with a car load of gifts & goodies). Then after lunch we headed over to my parent's house for even more eating & gifts for the kids. It was especially nice to have my dad home this year. We had so much fun with our families ~ it was so good to be reminded of what this time of year is really about & what really matters in life.

Soakai opening his presents....he loved his new pj's. :)

All Soakai wanted was a Buzz & Woody doll....glad we finally found one.

All Maizi wanted this year was a Barbie....Rapunzel was close enough.
Kids seeing their gifts under the tree for the first time - it was so fun this year since they're both old enough to have such great reactions. I have to say that our kids seem to be easily pleased. Good for us!

We got a really big, pretty tree this year and the kids insisted on helping me. So, I finally gave up the idea of having it decorated perfectly & let me have at it. You can't really tell from these pictures but the finished product was basically all of the ornaments at the bottom of the tree in one section. I guess the lesson to be learned for me was patience & spending time with my kids.

Fa Christmas Party

Phewww....finally getting into December! :)

This year Sione's family got together a couple weeks before Christmas since not all the kids were going to be in AZ this year. We had lots of fun & lots of yummy food. We did a white elephant gift exchange for the little kids & for the adults. We had a really good time & got some nice gifts. Sione's sister, Ana, got all the grandkids these really cute blankets with hoods. Some were animals & a couple of the girls were princesses....guess which ones! :)

Zach's Birthday/Riding Horses

Still getting caught up.....

Since my dad got sick, Zach took the one remaining horse to his house so he could take care of it. The kids kept asking about the horse and wanted to go see it so Zach asked the kids if they wanted to come over & ride the horse. So we went over one afternoon - it just happened to be Zachary's birthday too. I thought Maizi & Soakai would love it, but we quickly realized that Maizi was not interested in riding the horse AT ALL. Soakai soon warmed up to the idea & took a little ride with Alyana. I tried to get the best pictures that I could without either the kids moving or the horse. :) This brought back so many fun memories....we have lots of pictures of all us kids riding the horses out back and my dad leading us around. I used to love that! :)

We all went out to dinner afterwards to celebrate Zachary's birthday. Thanks guys for having us over!!
