Such a Ham

Well, Soakai has been very creative lately with his choice of outfits. He comes out of his room with some pretty interesting choices & he's is very clever with what he finds around the house too. The other day he found the little wire thing that comes in the Easter egg dyeing kit & put it in between his fingers saying "I got a hook for a hand" (it's from a pirate book we read). He's definitely NOT a boring kid! :)

He chose Sione's bike helmet & my shoes to do his bike riding - at least he was being safe. :)
Not sure what this one is about.

Maizi's Birthday Part 2

So, I guess I better post the 2nd part of Maizi's birthday before she turns 5! I don't know why it's taken me so long to get this post up. Anyway, for the Fig side of the family we got together at our house - thanks to my mom we had dinner. :) Good thing she dropped it off earlier in the day because after some major flooding out here her, Kalli, & Emili were stranded at her house & weren't able to make it over. :( Here are the rest of the pics. I had a video of her blowing out her candles, but for some dumb reason my camera won't play it so I couldn't put it on here.

Maizi LOVES when she gets to play little hostess ~ Thank you everyone for coming over!!!

Her new favorite doll from Cory & Jeri.
She got the cutest stuff - anything "princess" is a huge hit with her.

Isn't this the CUTEST baby you've ever seen?! Love her!!!
One of her best buddies - She loves her uncle Sage.

Maizi's Birthday Part 1

I'm finally catching up with all the things that have been going on around here for the past few weeks! Our little Maizi is growing up so dang fast - she turned 4 on August 23rd. I can't believe it! I didn't really know what to do for her this year & she's been talking about her birthday since her birthday last year. I do know one thing~ I will definitely try NOT to have another baby in the summer months. It's too hard to plan anything when it's SO hot outside. Our families are getting too big to have everyone over at one time so we opted to have 2 separate parties. We had the Fa party at the park so the kids could play in the water. It was still a little too hot for my liking, but the kids didn't seem to mind that much. Maizi LOVED her party (she's very easy to please). She loves parties, especially if she's the center of attention. :) She got some great presents....I have to say that her favorite present has to be her Ariel dress. She'd been talking about an Ariel costume FOREVER and I didn't even know that they made one so I kept saying "oh sure - for your birthday" Well, her birthday came & thanks to Ana she made Maizi a very happy girl!!

Sedona Adventures

Last weekend Sione had an event in Sedona - "Take a Hike the Biggest Losers" and I was lucky enough to be able to go with him. It was so much fun to get away & Sedona is so pretty. We stayed at Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa...it was really nice. Love it when they book nice places. :) They had lots of fun stuff planned for us to do while we were there. The first day we got up at 5 AM (not so fun) to go on a hike - I forget what it was called, but it was a fun hike, got a workout & enjoyed beautiful scenery.

We went kayaking!! I have to admit I was a little scared, but is was TONS of fun. We had water guns & a huge water fight the whole time down the river - which when you keep getting soaked and splashed by a paddle in the face seems like a really long river. :) At the end of the river we got out at a winery. Being the heavy drinkers that we are not, we enjoyed the cheese & crackers.

The last day there we went on a Pink Jeep Tour. I have heard about these Pink Jeeps & seen them around, but I never knew what a fun little adventure it would be. It was so pretty and very bumpy - notice the handrails at the top and if you're not wearing your seatbelt you will end up at the opposite end of the jeep. We had a blast!

Presenting.....Cheeseball Soakai

Soakai has been into dressing himself lately as you can see from the pictures - you like the inside out, backwards shirt?! :) Everyday now he changes his outfit about 3 times & he doesn't care if it's way too small, too big or even if it's a huge winter sweater like he had on today. (It made me sweat just looking at him). This kid is constantly moving & thinking of the next thing he can get into. He's a funny kid, but he wears me out! :)
