Halloween

I am such a slacker these days....I had to get this done before Thanksgiving, which is in a couple days. :) Halloween this year was lots of fun - the kids are getting older so they get into a little more. I had been asking Maizi all month what she wanted to be & it changed from one princess to another almost every day. I tried to get her to do something besides a princess, but that was a no go. :) She finally decided on Sleeping Beauty or as she says it "Sweeping Booty". Soakai on the other hand stuck with Woody from the first time I asked him....boys are definitely easier in some areas.

We had a family party at Cory & Jerilyn's house on Friday night this year. I'm so glad they decided to have their annual party again - they always do such a great job with activities & decorations & of course with the food. On Saturday night we went to the Sione's parents trunk-or-treat. There didn't seem to be as many trunks to treat in this year, but that's better for all us....less candy to eat. :) The kids had a blast all weekend. They loved getting dressed up and seeing all the other people dressed up. Since Halloween was on Sunday this year we decided to have the kids pass out candy at our house. I think they might've liked that better than actually trick-or-treating.

I figured that "The Wig" deserved it's own separate pictures. This thing made it's way around to just about everyone. :) Capri was the original owner of the wig & I don't even have a picture of her wearing it. Haha!!

Tonga Souvenirs

Well, as many of you know or may not, Sione just recently went to Tonga for 10 days with his dad. I will post all his Tonga pictures later, but these are just a couple I took when he gave the kids their gifts. Maizi asked Sione to bring her back some seashells so here she is...she got lots of shells & a really cute little purse made out of a coconut. Soakai got a ukulele that he loves & plays all the time & takes it with him almost everywhere we go. It's really cute. We got lots of of other really cool stuff, but I guess I didn't get pictures of them. Thanks Sione!!!

Mother Nature's Farm

A couple weeks ago Maizi's preschool class took a field trip to Mother Nature's Farm in Mesa. I had never been there before & I don't know why we've never thought to take our kids there. It is so cute & the kids had a blast. We will definitely be going there again. :)

Here a some of the kids in Maizi's class:
Ryan, Maizi, Leah, Olivia, Isaiah.

This is on the hayride around the farm

All the kids got to pick a pumpkin & then decorate it.
My little scarecrow. :)

Maizi found her pumpkin.

There were 11 new pigs born 2 days before we went....doesn't this just make you
want to have more kids?! Yuck! :)

Maricopa Stagecoach Days

Last month we decided to take the kids out to the park here in Maricopa for their annual Stagecoach Days celebration. We had a really good time, there were carnival rides (which were WAY overpriced) and games & food. It was a little too warm for October, but we had fun. We also got to visit Cory while he was working...doesn't he look so handsome in his uniform. :) To end the day we rode in the Wells Fargo stagecoach which was pretty cool even if it was only around the parking lot. :)

New School Year

Man, I am not too good at keeping up with this blog! I am just now getting around to posting about Maizi starting preschool (which was back in September). Ooops! :) I don't know who was more excited for preschool this year - me or Maizi. This summer seems to have drug on forever. I was running out of things for the kids to do & she needed to be doing something besides watching movies. Hooray for school!!! This is Maizi's 3rd year of preschool & I'm so glad that she loves it so much - it makes it so much easier knowing that she's having fun & learning lots. I remember when she first started when she was 2....it's been so fun to watch her grow up & see all the new things she's learned. She comes home with all kinds of information to share - not always sure what she's talking about, but she does so that's all that counts, right?!

Love this pose she decided to do. :)
This year she gets to stay longer one day to eat lunch....very exciting!
She even upgraded to a bigger backpack this year - of course it's princesses.
Getting so big. :(

This is Maizi's 2nd year. So cute!

Here is Maizi's 1st year graduation - I can't find her first day of school picture.
I know I have it somewhere. Look how small she looks.
