Sedona Adventures

Last weekend Sione had an event in Sedona - "Take a Hike the Biggest Losers" and I was lucky enough to be able to go with him. It was so much fun to get away & Sedona is so pretty. We stayed at Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa...it was really nice. Love it when they book nice places. :) They had lots of fun stuff planned for us to do while we were there. The first day we got up at 5 AM (not so fun) to go on a hike - I forget what it was called, but it was a fun hike, got a workout & enjoyed beautiful scenery.

We went kayaking!! I have to admit I was a little scared, but is was TONS of fun. We had water guns & a huge water fight the whole time down the river - which when you keep getting soaked and splashed by a paddle in the face seems like a really long river. :) At the end of the river we got out at a winery. Being the heavy drinkers that we are not, we enjoyed the cheese & crackers.

The last day there we went on a Pink Jeep Tour. I have heard about these Pink Jeeps & seen them around, but I never knew what a fun little adventure it would be. It was so pretty and very bumpy - notice the handrails at the top and if you're not wearing your seatbelt you will end up at the opposite end of the jeep. We had a blast!

Presenting.....Cheeseball Soakai

Soakai has been into dressing himself lately as you can see from the pictures - you like the inside out, backwards shirt?! :) Everyday now he changes his outfit about 3 times & he doesn't care if it's way too small, too big or even if it's a huge winter sweater like he had on today. (It made me sweat just looking at him). This kid is constantly moving & thinking of the next thing he can get into. He's a funny kid, but he wears me out! :)

Presenting.....Princess Maizi

Just a little update on our Maizi.....last month Maizi went to "Princess Training" (like she needs it - she thinks she is a Queen). :) A girl in our ward was raising money for girls camp so she came up with this adorable idea to have Princess Training classes. Maizi went every day for a week & they did the cutest things. Here are the pictures of her graduating & receiving her crown from her fairy godmother. Now whenever we see Savannah at church she tells me that's her fairy godmother. So funny! They did crafts, decorated cupcakes, learned how to wave, curtsy (sp?) and they also recited the "spells" they learned. She absolutely LOVED it & still talks about it.

The pictures at the bottom are just a couple poses that she always wants me to take pictures of. :)

Marker War

As you can see my kids get a little too creative with the markers.  I thought that I would get the kids some new markers & let them color & draw since they get bored with it being SO hot outside...and this is why I don't like markers! I could give them 20 coloring books & they still end up doing this.  I guess I should just be grateful that they didn't draw on the walls----this time! :)  (please excuse the fact that they look like little homeless orphans)

Say Cheese!!

So Maizi has been quite the little photographer lately - if my camera is left out for more than a minute she's got it & snapping pictures like crazy. Here is just a little sampling of her work (pretty good, huh?).  I spared you all the many many more that she took but were of the floor, the walls, the ceiling fans and who know what else....not to mention all the ones she takes with my phone.
